WINTER 2008 NEWSLETTER

One of the great things about our business is the smiles, giggles and outright laughs the memories our website and its contents produce.  When people started emailing us that General Mills Country Corn Flakes was disappearing from their local store’s shelves we immediately thought of that television commercial (were cereal bowls ever that big??!!) and that impossible to forget jingle.

We thought you might like to join us in a laugh.  So just click the picture to the right to start the video clip.  After you are through reminiscing be sure take a look at the recipe below for Chewy Cereal Bars.  You can click the recipe and it will take you directly to our site where you can order some Country Corn Flakes today!

While the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season has passed us by (we hope Santa was good to children of all ages!) depending on where you live, Old Man Winter may just be starting to blow in earnest.  Whether you like Kisses, Hugs or the classic Special Dark we have a Hershey's Hot Cocoa for you. Hot Cereals like Maypo, Ralston and Red River are big sellers year round but somehow they hit the spot a little closer to home on a chilly winter’s morn.

Have we missed something?  Is there an old favorite you can’t find but miss dearly?  We read all your emails and we love to be your candy and hard-to-find grocery sleuth.  Be sure to check our “Boy they were good…” page to see which products have passed on into strictly memories.

We are rapidly expanding our Gift Basket and Box selection so we can help you give the gift of fond memories.  Be sure to check out our new gift ideas.  Have one of your own?  We can customize a gift basket/box from your choice of products and the basket/box you want them in.

Sincerely,

Your Friends at HometownFavorites.com
